The Dorset Inn c.1796 is Vermont’s oldest continuously operating inn while Barrows House is Dorset’s own small resort sitting on 6 acres of manicured grounds. The Old Gray Barn, just north of Dorset Village Green, is our newest venue for weddings and special events. Tucked into a hillside overlooking the pristine meadows of the Mettowee Valley, the setting exudes that ideal Vermont rustic charm. The 2-story barn features exposed rough-hewn beams and rustic light fixtures, a viewing balcony prefect for cocktail hours and after dinner lounging, a bride’s room, large sliding barn doors that open to a wood deck and various lawn spaces ideal for extending the celebration outdoors.
